Based on the hull of a Mobquet Medium Transport, the Starlight Intruder was a large ship built by Salla Zend and Shug Ninx, two smugglers in Ninx's starship garage, Spacebarn, on Nar Shaddaa. They began work on it in 4 ABY and finished it 6 years later. The Intruder was capable of carrying loads up to seven times the size of those hauled by stock light freighters like Corellian YT-1300 and Salla modified most of its internal systems with high-grade hardware. The standard engines were stripped out and replaced with four military-grade Damorian RX7 ion drives. Removing old Koensayr CL-14 motivator from a wrecked Hutt charriot, Zend and her companions mated the unit with a pair of Rendili StarDrive hyperspace engines, adding advanced Koensayr W-0-type power couplings to increase stress resistance to approprtiate level. After such a mutant of hyperdrive was completed, the Intruder ended up with Class 0.75 hyperdrive engine. Armed with two concealed medium turbolaser turrets and shielded with Novaplex DuR-4 generator, the Intruder became truly formidable ship, while her appearance was not that different from a stock Mobquet Transport.
